Creating Connections Through Art:
Celebrating Our June & July Classes

August 2026 Calendar
At the Beacon of Hope Center of Excellence, we believe creativity has the power to bring people together. Throughout June and July, our classrooms were filled with laughter, learning, and beautiful works of art as community members gathered to explore new skills, make friends, and enjoy the benefits of creative expression.
Participants enjoyed a wide variety of projects—from watercolor painting and reverse glass painting to birdhouses, seashell art, greeting cards, canvas painting, and more. Every class provided an opportunity to learn something new while strengthening the connections that make our island community so special.
These meaningful experiences would not have been possible without the generosity of our supporters.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Matlacha Hookers Luau for their generous financial contribution to our art program. Their support helps us provide supplies and continue offering creative opportunities that enrich the lives of the individuals we serve.
We also want to recognize our incredible volunteer artists and instructors. Each one generously donated their time, talent, and passion, making every class unique and inspiring. Their willingness to give back has encouraged participants to discover hidden talents, build confidence, and experience the joy of creating something with their own hands.
A special thank you also goes to everyone who has donated art supplies, materials, and resources throughout these past two months. Every contribution—large or small—has helped our program continue to grow and thrive.
At the Beacon of Hope Center of Excellence, art is more than a craft. It is a way to reduce isolation, encourage lifelong learning, promote wellness, and strengthen our community.
Thank you to everyone who has helped make these classes such a tremendous success. We look forward to continuing this journey of creativity, connection, and community together.
